Instalação “Refletor do Belo”

Deparámo-nos com o lago.
Envolto por matéria natural sublime, recanto ancestral no cerne do Mosteiro.
A partir desta visão harmoniosa e fantasiosa, somos convidados a mergulhar numa viagem introspetiva que exacerba os sentidos ao belo.
Procuramos criar um “palco” para exaltar a beleza do lago.
Composto por Tela, sob a forma de Véu e Viola Braguesa.
A Tela não tem como único propósito ser um espaço sob o qual se pinta, molda ou expõe. Os seus limites podem confinar algo que na tela se define e detém.
No entanto, o propósito da Tela poderá ser, por si só, a atenção que se centra no que a rodeia.
A Viola Braguesa, símbolo do património cultural da cidade onde o Mosteiro se ergue, vai espelhar a envolvente pela sua sonoridade cristalina e etérea, em simbiose com a essência do lago.
Pretendemos exaltar o olhar e audição do indivíduo comum para uma brilhante plataforma que se alimenta do que existe. Este acrescento ganha forma para nunca esquecer a riqueza que possuímos, pessoal e coletiva, num refúgio que se chama Mosteiro de Tibães.
Para parar e contemplar: sublime e bruto, delicado mas primitivo. Uma comunhão sensorial, num palco intemporal.

Installation “Refletor do Belo”

We came upon the lake.

Enveloped by sublime natural matter, ancestral nook at the heart of the Monastery.

From this harmonious and fanciful vision, we are invited to immerse ourselves in an introspective journey that exacerbates the senses to the beautiful.

We seek to create a “stage” to exalt the beauty of the lake.

Composed by Canvas, in the form of Veil and Viola Braguesa.

The Canvas has not the sole purpose of being a space under which it is painted, molded, or exposed.

Its limits can confine something that in the canvas defines and holds.

However, the purpose of the canvas may be, by itself, the attention that focuses on what surrounds it.

The Viola Braguesa, a symbol of the cultural heritage of the city where the Monastery stands, will reflect the surrounding by its crystalline and ethereal sound, in symbiosis with the essence of the lake.

We want to exalt the look and hearing of the ordinary individual to a brilliant platform that feeds on what exists. This addition gains form never to forget the wealth that we possess, personal and collective, in a refuge that is called Mosteiro de Tibães.

To stop and contemplate: sublime and crude, delicate but primitive. A sensorial communion in a timeless stage.
